It is often said that once you have learnt the skill of riding a bicycle as a child you would never forget it. But it might become difficult for you to ride a bicycle after reaching adulthood, if you have not practiced for long. Also those of you who have not learnt bicycle as a child or youth would find it extremely difficult to have the balance and the right coordination. To solve these problems now you can take the help of bicycle training wheels which can be accommodated to ten-speeds, mountain bikes and coaster bikes and therefore you can enjoy bicycle riding as an adult.

These wheels are same as that of the training wheels used by the youths, with some differences. The main difference is that these wheels for adult are not attached to the rear tire of the bicycle; instead they are attached to the frame that is behind the seats and remains a bit extended. They are set few inches above the back tire and therefore provide the rider with the much needed stabilization. These wheels can support riders who weigh 200 pounds or more and are 6 inches in diameter. However, riders should keep in mind that these wheels are for temporary support and once you have the confidence of riding the bicycle on your own then you should remove these training wheels.

It is often found that many of us who use these wheels do so because of some medical constraints. If you are suffering from any medical condition that might create problem in balancing then you must have the bicycle training wheels attached to the bicycle. However, it is also not very easy to get these wheels meant for adults. You can get them either in the internet or in the bicycle magazines. You might get them in some renowned bicycle shops also but in most cases you need to order them. This is because most of the manufacturers of bicycle training wheels make them on order and thus do not have extras.
