Vittoria signs 2-year sponsor deal with Team Quick Step

Vittoria has agreed a 2-year technical partnership with Team Quick Step.

Under the agreement, Vittoria will provide the Belgian UCI ProTour team with technical consultancy and tyre equipment – in particular, the new Vittoria Corsa EVO SC tubular, which was such a hit with top pro riders in the 2010 season.

Announcing the new sponsorship, Vittoria’s Sales & Marketing Director René Timmermans said: “The Quick Step mechanics and riders said they just had to have this new tubular – that’s why they chose Vittoria. It was the performance of the product that convinced them, so we’re delighted to be their sponsors.”
Quick Step is renowned for its focus on technical advancements in equipment, and will be able to choose tyres that are perfectly adapted for every kind of conditions from Vittoria’s extensive range of Servizio Corse handmade tubulars.

In the last 5 years under the guidance of manager Patrick Lefevere, Quik Step has become one of the most successful ProTour teams, with wins in all 3 grand tours. Its star riders include Tom Boonen, Sylvain Chavanel, Stijn Devolder, and Wouter Weylandt.
